Why We Don’t Charge $10/Vent
At Duct Dudes, it is our goal to provide exceptional service at reasonable pricing. We are not the cheapest duct cleaner in the region, and for good reason. We can’t afford to provide you with quality service for $10 a vent, and neither can the other guys.
Below you will find content regarding the poorly trained and ill-equipped “blow-and-go” companies. We invite you to read through this information, gathered from multiple sources, to fully educate yourself about these types of companies.
Easy Ways to Spot a Typical Blow-and-Go Company
- 1. They will offer to do whole-house duct cleaning for $150, or they will charge $10 per vent.
- 2. They will flood coupon books with full-page ads promising everything under the sun—for only $99.
- 3. They will also offer carpet cleaning, blind and drapery cleaning or HVAC service.
- 4. They will arrive in pick-up trucks, mini vans, or even cars. They do not arrive in a state-of-the-art commercial air duct cleaning truck like Duct Dudes.
So, what is a typical price range for a high-quality air duct cleaning service? According to the EPA, “duct cleaning services typically – but not always – range in cost from $450 to $1000 per heating and cooling system, depending on the services offered, the size of the system to be cleaned, system accessibility, climactic region, and level of contamination.” The type of duct material may also impact pricing.
If you run into a “blow-and-go” air duct cleaning company, alert your local Better Business Bureau. You may also wish to contact elected officials to request legislation against these unethical organizations.
